Less is more – Zara Home FW 2019 collection arrived
On the first day of London Fashion Week, Zara has created an immersive installation to showcase the FW19 Home collection and celebrate the launch on Zara.com, along with a pop-up cafe by Rochelle Canteen at Shoreditch Electric Light Station. I had the honour to be invited for the private viewing of their presentation.
The FW19 Home collection sees a return to the warmth and a “less is more” mindset-an embrace of minimal elegance and the ease that permeates when surrounded by fewer things, chosen with care. The subtle art of simplicity is created through the sum of so many details, thoughtfully refined across a finely balanced collection of decor, accessories, and home fragrances designed to bring harmony to every room.
Organic lines, rich textures, handcrafted materials, and natural elements around; while unexpected touches and vintage-inspired cues add to the notion that pieces are meant to be loved and lived in.
The collection is captured in a photo and film series by Fabien Baron that unhurriedly homes in on the craftsmanship and nuances noticed by a practiced eye. It’s these finer points that form a space that cocoons the viewer in a sense of well-being. Both the collection and the creative stand as an invitation to create a home that offers respite, escape and authentic restoration; immersed in the meaningful, and surrounded by simple beauty.
