Prince Charles teams up with designers at London Fashion Week
A new member of the British ruling family, this time Prince Charles is committed to fashion. London Fashion Week will feature a very special collection by designer Vin and Omi who will be featuring a collection made in cooperation with the Prince.
At London Fashion Week, something has changed. Sustainability, animal protection, and equal opportunities are on the agenda. Designers talked to Prince Charles last year about what kind of textiles could be made from nettles? His Royal Highness noted that his estate was full of nettles.
The story could have ended there and then, but Vin and Omi were invited to the estate, which is famous for recycling and organic farming. After the visit, the events became self-evident. They were offered a collection of 3,000 stinging nettles, which they collected with the help of teams of college students. The result, which is rumored to evoke Camden’s punk world, will be seen by the lucky ones this week at London Fashion Week!
