Temperley London SS 2020 – Escape to Venice
Temperley London’s latest Summer collection was inspired by byzantine tilework, Venetian palazzos, and beautifully curated gardens. Evocative of travel and Italian escapism to warm new climes; the increased daywear offering including new denim styles perfectly illustrates our new vision for Summer 2020; taking us through from Hotel Boudoir, French Riviera, Peggy’s Venice and Botanical Retreat.
Boat necklines for days spent poolside bring a new shape to the daywear offering along with high waisted denim paper bag style shorts; perfect for exploring new warm climes. Longline smoking jackets worn with matching wide-leg trousers are perfect for evenings spent al fresco as the sunsets.
A soft color palette of rosewater pink, cantaloupe, pastel jade green and seashell contrast with the stronger Aperol orange, rich plum, and vibrant Tigerlily. Daywear in crisp cotton, linen and cotton silk checks in shorter styles provide a cool and relaxed summer offering along with long, billowing, off-shoulder summer dresses. A new denim selection in a range of styles from Capri, wide-leg with sailor button front detailing as well as a button-through skirt with matching bodice top and jacket in French blue, dark washed denim and white. Additional versions are adorned with Matisse inspired graphic leaf prints in sugary pink with white and black with copper orange motifs.
Jacquard and layered pointelle longline knits worn with matching full length knitted cami dresses are inspired by tessellated Venetian tile imagery in rich dark plum and bold Aperol. The relaxed opulence culminates in eveningwear; with shimmering sequins in varied sizes that create a 3D effect and depth to the dresses, with overlay satin stitch, encrusted lattices and embellished star clusters.
