Zara Woman Studio Collection – 2022 Spring
Delicate and strong. Tender and powerful. Zara presents the latest Studio collection -2022 Spring, its highest expression of directional fashion design, material excellence and quality craftsmanship. The collection is showcased in a filmed and photographed campaign that highlights the intricately-wrought beauty of the garments alongside the universality and strength of the women whom they are designed to empower.
Featuring a global cast of inspiring women, the Zara Studio campaign is a celebration of pan-feminine power and allure that places its wearer first. That cast is Quinn Mora, Rianne Van Rompaey, Lina Zhang, Marie Sophie Wilson, Tess McMillan, Amar Akway, Jessica Stam, Georgia Palmer and Edie Campbell. Photographed by Steven Meisel and filmed by Fabien Baron, two of the world’s most sophisticatedly artistic image-makers, the result is a tantalising visual kaleidoscope that showcases this rich and impactful collection.
Created by the Zara Studio design team with stylist Karl Templer, the collection artfully combines decorative expression with functional intent. Beauty and romance are central to the season’s thesis: Paisley, lace, ruffle, broderie anglaise, chiffon, and tulle are blended into an alluring whole that spans eras in order to encapsulate modernity.
Victorian bibs play against 70’s bootcut trousers, which echo again across elements of sports-luxe. Volumised shoulders, nipped waists and full skirts emanate the softness of feminine archetypes while hard-edged details in tailoring, militaria, belting, bodicing and hardware combine to subvert and re-energise those archetypes in order to be relevant today. This is a collection women who see no contradiction in being as eternally romantic as they are fiercely self-determined: unapologetic heroines in the love story of life.
