Vintage christmas fun: Worcester Victorian Fayre
One of the best programs you could have at the end of November in Worcester is The Victorian Fayre. It was first started back in 1992 by traders from picturesque New Street and Friar Street. Now in its 27th year, the Fayre may have grown a lot but it has stayed true to its traditional roots with plenty of Victorian themed characters, festive treats, and a wonderful atmosphere. This year there will be almost 200 stalls across the city center, selling local arts and crafts, delicious street food and gifts.
Look out for Victorian characters in Gin Lane, lofty entertainers on stilts, brilliant musicians on our stages and buskers on every street corner.
Hailed as the Midland’s leading Victorian-themed street market, it really is the best way to kick start the festive season by soaking up the atmosphere of vibrant colors, harmonious sounds and enticing scents of Christmas.
Once again Worcester’s historic streets will be filled with over 200 stalls selling an array of products including local arts and crafts, international products, festive gifts and not forgetting the extremely tempting international street food. Whether you’re looking for a Christmas decoration, a piece of unique jewelry, an unusual item for the home or some edible festive treats, you won’t be disappointed with the varied choice on offer.
There really is something for everyone and we hope you have a wonderful time!
