PatBO FW 2021 NYFW – “Memorias”
PatBO’s Autumn/Winter 2021 Collection entitled “Memorias” seeks to create a sensory journey that connects traditional old-world techniques with contemporary silhouettes—bringing the past to the future. With shimmering lurex gowns and metallic satin bodysuits, Bonaldi took influence from ‘The Latest Bohemian’ trend and glamour of the 1970s.
A re-emergence of folkloric practices and a free-spirited approach to fashion have also been seen this decade. Initial prints painted by hand are playful and cheerful. The artwork was reminiscent of the Northeast region of Brazil’s Cordel Traditions-small poetry books worn around the author’s neck-was the inspiration behind the Cordel Print with its horse, bird, and other motif depictions. A further homage to the wintry bohemian aesthetic is vegan-suede separates with hand-sewn embroidery.
PatBO is a Brazilian brand that captures the vibrant energy of South America through its artfully hand-embroidered RTW and Swim Collections.
