Disco Fever – Paula Knorr AW 19/20
In the AW19 collection, Paula Knorr returns to her unprecedented design technique of awe-inspiring eveningwear that provides as much comfort and ease as leisurewear. To create this modern take on eveningwear, Knorr incorporates materials such as Jersey and Lycra alongside lavish fabrics in elegant designs and rich tones.
At the core of the collection, bold figure-hugging silhouettes with avantgarde drapes in a mix of delicate sequin fabrics are all finished with Lycra back panels to allow flexibility and movement. Hints of ‘sporty’ detailing are injected throughout the collection with relaxed shapes like deconstructed Tunica’s and Palazzo pants, in sparkly oversize sequins, featuring Sportive lurex Ribbing. This focus on comfort continues with luxurious silk gowns and kaftans featuring flexible drapes and rushing allowing for that fluid movement.
The collection also features a large selection of easy to wear Lycra styles re-developed into show stopping evening gowns and elegant draped tops. The Lycra jersey in neon tones gets an evening wear treatment by being completely adorned with a precise grid of SWAROVSKI crystals.
Captivating sequins, soft Lamé velvets with a glossy, water like, shine, fluid satin fabrics combined with rich red and wine tones, bright neons and pink and soft blushes all form an alluring contrast to the sportive elements of AW19.
In conjunction with Paula Knorr’s collaboration with SWAROVSKI this season will include jewellery crafted by Paula Knorr. Inclusive of geometric silver shapes which complement the luxurious oversized sequins and asymmetric cuts throughout the AW19 collection.
