Alexander McQueen : The Long Lost Tapes by Gary Wallis
Gary Wallis‘s film, McQueen: The Long Lost Tapes is an edit of black and white Super 8 footage that Wallis shot for Alexander McQueen in 1993 & 1994, around the time of the designer’s first show at Cafe de Paris. The film was shot to promote the designer for an upcoming event in New York.
Whilst the footage was lost for many years, there was a big push to recover this lost footage in time for the McQueen documentary by Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedgui. Unfortunately, the tape was not actually recovered until the day after the UK premier of the McQueen Documentary. This archive footage was edited to accompany the limited edition DVD of the McQueen Documentary upon its release and has never been seen by the public.
McQueen: The Long Lost Tapes will be live-streamed one time only, exclusively on Fashion Scout Digital at 16:00 Sunday 21st February 2021.
