GUCCI FLORA EMERALD GARDENIA – new limited edtion 2019
Green, a colour emblematic of spring, conveying the freshness and vivacity of the change of season, is the inspiration for the new limited-edition fragrance Gucci Flora Emerald Gardenia.
The vibrant shade of emerald acts as a synesthesia for the new scent, shaping its perfume, part of the Fresh Floral olfactory family, and through the recoloring of the whimsical lines of the House’s iconic Flora design. The colour forms a distinctly contemporary pattern in the packaging, the same emerald tone reprised in a softer tone for the bottle.
Embodying its namesake colour, Gucci Flora Emerald Gardenia is a newly blended version of the fragrance from the Flora family. Delicate, transparent in a green floral composition, the scent is full with fruity and floral notes layered on a soft woody base. The perfume is inspired by a snapshot of an early summer’s morning, where orchards ripe with fruit are covered with dew. Refreshing, bright fruit notes open the scent: Pear, Lemon and Watermelon mix with the heart notes of beguiling aqueous flowers Gardenia, Frangipani and Lotus. The radiant fruit and floral blend is set softly on a base of luminous woods notes including Sandalwood and Cedarwood together with velvety Musks.
Crafted in the same hexagonal shape of the original Flora Gardenia bottle, the lacquered glass bottle in green features narrow black Gucci lettering and a fine black bow. The fragrance’s box is covered in the iconic floral and insect motif first created for Princess Grace of Monaco in 1966, with fresh light and vividness found in tones of emerald green. The recolored Flora pattern symbolizes new life, femininity and contemporary romanticism, underscoring the vision of the House. The new design characterizes the authentic, curiously compelling women who wear the scent and their open interpretation of beauty and sensuality.
A composition of fresh sensuality, the limited-edition scent is captured in a radiant new advertising campaign. Gucci Flora Emerald Gardenia’s green bottle lays on a bed of creamy white gardenia petals, while a complementary campaign for the original scent Gucci Flora features model Ellia Goddings in a pink satin gown, with a gold crown circling her head.
